    I have had the pleasure of getting to know Mia Smith over the past six months. I purchased a few sessions to mix up my exercise routine as I was getting in a little bit of a rut and wanted to learn how to be STRONG. Mia challenged me with balance techniques and focused on strengthening my core (muscles that had not been worked since giving birth to my daughter in April 2009). I loved the way she encouraged me (and still does) that being healthy is a lifestyle not just something you do for a period of time. I text Mia every week with my weigh in result as I have lost 71 pounds so far and have about 40 more to go. It never fails…there is always a text waiting for me telling me how proud she is of me and even if I gain, she shares how normal it is…for so long I didn’t know what normal was because I was caught in the diet trap of deprivation and starvation…not to mention an exercise program that was not feasible for my new mommy lifestyle. Mia never shook her finger at me or slapped me on the hand if I had a slip-up or a splurge. She simply told me to keep going and not give up and to forgive myself.

    If my husband and I decide to have another child, I know the expert’s opinion and advice I will be looking to is the words of Mia Smith…after all, she’s been on this journey with me all these months! I encourage anyone who wants to have a healthy sense of self and a truly balanced work out and eating program to contact Mia. You will be so glad you did! I know I am :)

    Mia really helped me while I was pregnant with my second child. She taught an amazing prenatal exercise class with fun, motivating aerobic routines plus challenging strength training. She was able to tailor the class for each participant depending on their fitness level and stage of pregnancy. And after I recovered from C-section, Mia worked with me one-on-one to help me get back in shape. She has the best style – tough but supportive – and she really helped me turn the corner to get myself back in action. I highly recommend her as a personal trainer. Thanks, Mia!

    Mia Smith is the best trainer my husband and I have ever had!!! We have engaged personal trainers for more than 25 years and believe that Mia is the most knowledgeable, professional and creative trainer that we have ever worked with. Mia has worked with us for more than 4 years. As a result, I am stronger, have better stability and am much more self confident about my physical abilities. Her workouts are never routine and never the same but always interesting. Mia goes out of her way to provide us with related information that is pertinent to us whether it is a new type of equipment that we should try or providing additional resource information about a physical condition. She always meets us with her wonderfully happy and nurturing style. Mia even designs programs for us to follow when we are on vacation or away from home.
    Anyone who has the opportunity to have Mia Smith as a trainer is extremely fortunate.

    Mia is the best prenatal personal trainer. She designed an exercise program especially for me. She helped me understand what my body needs to be physically healthy. Her workouts are fun and efficient. Most of all, her insight on how my body changes during pregnancy is priceless!

    I have been active for most of my life – playing basketball, tennis, swimming, running, skiing, and occasionally trying classes at local gyms. I thought I was in pretty good shape, until I signed up for 10 classes with Mia. She awakened muscles in me I had forgotten I had! She always knew when to push a little harder and when I’d had enough. The result was that fabulous feeling of just the right amount of soreness the morning after. Enough to be gratified that I worked hard, but not too much that I did not want to get to my next session. She was always aware of proper form so I never felt the wrong kind of pain. She also reviewed my eating habits and would remind me of a few little things I could change that would have the greatest impact on my overall health. Mia left me with better strength, eating habits, and overall awareness of my posture and form. The time I spent with her was invaluable and I recommend her highly to anyone who wants to make a positive change in their overall health. The best part is, she comes to your house. So making time for working out had never been easier!
